what do you think about success?

The greatest Job security is "Performance

What is success?
What makes a person successful? What are the manifestations of success? How do we recognize success or we can say that how do we measure success? How do we know we have arrived?
These are some common questions of a person when he really goes to the depth of success!
To some people, success might mean wealth. To others, it may be recognition, good health, a good family, satisfaction, peace, happiness of mind. What this really tells us is that success is subjective. Success means different things to different people. The definition that I feel best summarises 'success' is:

"Success is the progressive realization of worthy goals."

Existence alone is not success! It is a lot more!
Do more than exist---Live
Do more than touch---Feel
Do more than look---Observe
Do more than read---Absorb
Do more than hear---Listen
Do more than Listen---Understand

Struggle
Trials in life can be tragedies or triumphs, depending on how we handle them. Triumphs don't come without efforts. Nothing worthwhile in life comes without a struggle. As parents, we tend to hurt the ones we love most because we don't allow them to struggle and gain strength.

Overcoming Obstacles
As God had given us this beautiful Life we have to overcome the failure or obstacles not for others, for you only, for achieving your success. People who have overcome obstacles are more secure than those who have never faced them. We all have problems and sometimes feel discouraged. Everyone faces disappointments, but winners don't get disheartened. The answer is perseverance.
An English proverb says, "A smooth sea never  made a skillful mariner." Nothing comes easy in life. We cannot run away from our problems. Obstacle keeps coming to test our grit, time and time again.

How do we measure success?
Many people measure success by money, health, wealth, name, fame, etc. but true success is measured by the feelings of knowing we have done a job well and have achieved objectives.
Success is not measured by our position in life but by the obstacle, we overcome to get there.
Success in life is not determined by how we are doing compared with others, but by how we are doing compared with what we are capable of doing. Successful people compete against themselves. They better their, own record and keep improving constantly.
Success is not measured by how high we go up in life, but rather by how many times we bounced back when we fall down. It is this bounce-back ability that determines success. Success is not an absence of problems, It is overcoming them.

Every Success Story is also a Story of Great Failure
Failure is the backbone of success. It is the highway to success. If you study history, you will find that all stories of success are also stories of great failures. The world only sees the success they don't see the failure behind it, how many times fall down and how many your worst moment. They don't see the struggle behind the success, and say "He got lucky, he must have been at the right place at right time."
Henry Ford who was the founder of the great Ford motor company forgot to put the reverse gear in the first car he made.
Do you consider these people failures? they succeeded in spite of problems, not in the absence of them. But to negative thinkers, it appears as though they just "got lucky".

*Thomas Edison failed approximately 10,000 times while he was working on the light bulb.
*Henry Ford was broke at the age of forty.
*lee Iacocca was fired by Henry Ford II at the age of fifty-four.
*Young Beethoven was told that he had no talent for music, but he gave some of the best music to the world.
